1. Patriotic Blueberry Strawberry Dessert

A layered dessert like a truffle can be a bit heavy for a humid barbecue or backyard pot luck. However, this patriotic dessert can keep it’s red, white, and blue stripes even if it cuts more than half the calories. Simply layer low fat Cool Whip, fresh blueberries, a layer of vanilla yogurt, and then a fresh layer of sliced strawberries in individual mason jars. Keep layering your patriotic heart out until you reach the top of each jar. Let your parfaits cool until guests are ready to gobble them up.
